Three things to know…
1. Losing Mackensie Alexander hurts, but Cordrea Tankersley is more than ready to step up as the No. 1 corner. Clemson QBs targeted Tankersley five times in the spring game and he allowed just one reception. In fact, he had more pass breakups (two) than receptions allowed.
2. Get ready for a breakout season from defensive end Austin Bryant. In 2015, Bryant generated nine QB pressures last season in limited playing time. In the spring game, he had two pressure and two batted passes.
3. After a breakout performance in the National Championship Game, Hunter Renfrow is prepared to take on a larger role in the offense this year. Renfrow was targeted seven times in the spring game at an average of 20 air yards per target. He may be in line to replace Charone Peak as the primary deep threat in the offense.
