Three things to know…

1. Ronnie Stanley who? Mike McGlinchey was Notre Dame’s most consistent offensive lineman in 2015 and it looks like this season will be no different as he slides over to left tackle to replace Stanley. McGlinchey didn’t allow a single QB pressure in 26 pass block snaps in the spring game.

2. True freshman Kevin Stepherson looks like he’s ready to take over Will Fuller’s role as the deep threat. Stepherson was targeted a game-high eight times at an average depth of almost 24 yards. He did drop once pass but hauled in three for 45 yards.

3. Jonathan Bonner, competing for a job on the defensive line, made a strong impression with four QB pressures. The Irish struggled to generate pressures last season lost Sheldon Day to the NFL, who led the team with 28 pressures last season. If Bonner can get to the quarterback, the coaches will be forced to find a spot for him.
